Good evening friends

Apologies for being quiet for so long.A lot has happened since I last blogged hence my silence.

So Chile won Copa America for the first time ever(congrats to them).Barca did the treble(It was expected) and the new football season is upon us.Hang in there,its just 3 more weeks.Now that the transfer window is open(It opened on July 1),we'll be hearing about players swapping teams and so on.I think so far Liverpool arent wasting time with acquiring quality players to compete for a top 4 finish one gain.Players like Danny Ings,James Milner,Roberto Firmino etc.Thats shrewd business by Brendan Rodgers if you ask me.Can they challenge for a UCL spot?We'll have to see this season

BPL champions Chelsea have kept the title winning side but sadly had to say goodbye to legends Didier Drogba &Petr Cech after the services they provided to Chelsea in the last decade.They are part of history and they'll definitely be missed.Farewell legends.But Radamel Falcao and Asmir Begovic are good signings so lets see how they'll cope next season and lets see if Jose Mourinho can get the best out of El Tigre once again.

UCL qualifying draw is next Friday and this is where small teams will face the big boys to make it to the group stages.The likes of Ajax,Fernabache,Monaco,Man Utd will be drawn against stellar opposition to qualify for the big one.All the best to teams competing in the qualifying round.

I'm looking forward to the new season ahead and also to finishing uni this year.So I may not blog as much especially now that Semester 2 will be very demanding and short so please bear with me

 Good evening everyone I hope you are well and having a good start to the week. Sorry for the radio silence. It has been a busy couple of weeks, but I'm back now. After winning at Anfield against Liverpool on Thursday night, Chelsea earned a much needed win against Merseyside team Everton on Monday night. The victory puts the Blues in touching distance of Leicester City (3 points) and Manchester United (4 points). So thats 9 games unbeaten in the league for Thomas Tuchel, who has definitely turned things around at Stamford Bridge since his arrival in January.  One  of the positive elements on Monday night was the performance of Kai Havertz. The big money signing from Bayer Leverkusen has flattered to deceive this season but the arrival of the German tactician has definitely improved his performances. Champions League: What a week of drama

  Copyright fr.uefa.com Good afternoon everyone I hope you are all well and enjoying the last few weeks of the summer holidays,albeit in difficult circumstances. So the UEFA Champions League made its return 2 weeks ago with 2nd leg ties that still  needed to be played like Chelsea v Bayern Munich, Lyon v Juventus and Manchester City v Real Madrid and boy were there surprises with Lyon making it past the Italian Champions despite a 2-1 defeat and of course the end of Maurizio Sarri's tenure as head coach. Bayern Munich and Man City qualifying werent really shocks as the damage was done in the 1st leg, at least for Chelsea but thats not the exciting part.So for the first time ever 2 French teams in the semis and PSG's first semi final appearance since 1995.  Last Wednesday saw PSG come from behind to defeat Atlanta 2-1 with Marquinhos and Choupo-Moting gettting the goals. Chelsea v Southampton: 2 points dropped by the Blues

 Good afternoon everyone  I hope you're well and had a good weekend. So what a dramatic weekend of football we had starting with the Merseyside derby and it continued with Chelsea-Southampton which finished 3-3 after the Saints managed to grab a point at the death thanks to Vestergaard. Once again Chelsea fail to kill off a match and this will cost them dearly come end of the season. Where do I begin? oh yes the defence. With Mendy injured, Kepa was put in the starting XI to prove his worth to the coach and he failed the test. With Thiago Silva being left out with Sevilla to come in midweek it was the duo Zouma-Christiansen and I wasnt convinced one bit. Thankfully Lamaprd will be able to call on him for tomorrow's match and with Man United to come at the weekeend,it'll be interesting to see which team he sends out tomorrow night at the Bridge.Glad that Werner got a double and Havertz scored as well.
