Good day fellow bloggers and readers Apologies for my silence.Final year is hectic and merciless,thats why I havent posted anything on my blog in over 3 months.Also I didnt have wi-fi at home for a while. Anyway enough self-pity,this season my team has been abysmal to say the least.Not sure whats wrong at Chelsea.Is it the players?the manager or the FA? I doubt Chelsea will be in the UCL next season unless they win the competition or drop to Europa League and win it because losing 7/12 matches is horrible. The last time this happened in 1978/79,Chelsea were relegated. It'll take a miracle to finish in the top 4 this season and teams around us to drop massive points.Who would've thought that teams like Leicester City and West Ham United would be way ahead of the champions?Definitely not me. Good day fellow bloggers Apologies for keeping you waiting.Uni keeps one very busy,especially final year. Last weekend saw the start of the 2015-16 EPL Season and they were many shockers including Arsenal's 2-0 defeat at home to West Ham.Not many saw that coming,especially not me. The usual suspects won their opening games:Man Utd squeaked past Spurs with a 1-0 victory at Old Trafford while Philippe Coutinho snatched a late winner for Liverpool at Stoke.The champions Chelsea held on for a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge while playing with 10 men for most of the half.A lot was left to be desired by their performance.One is wondering if Jose Mourinho is going to make any new signings before September 1 as most players seem to be on holiday such as the ever reliable Ivanovic and concerns are Chelsea are lacking depth in defense but that may all change with Baba Rahman of  FC Augsburg  in Germany likely to come to Stamford Bridge subject to the 2 clubs agreeing a fee.In my opinio...

Good evening friends Apologies for being quiet for so long.A lot has happened since I last blogged hence my silence. So Chile won Copa America for the first time ever(congrats to them).Barca did the treble(It was expected) and the new football season is upon us.Hang in there,its just 3 more weeks.Now that the transfer window is open(It opened on July 1),we'll be hearing about players swapping teams and so on.I think so far Liverpool arent wasting time with acquiring quality players to compete for a top 4 finish one gain.Players like Danny Ings,James Milner,Roberto Firmino etc.Thats shrewd business by Brendan Rodgers if you ask me.Can they challenge for a UCL spot?We'll have to see this season BPL champions Chelsea have kept the title winning side but sadly had to say goodbye to legends Didier Drogba &Petr Cech after the services they provided to Chelsea in the last decade.They are part of history and they'll definitely be missed.Farewell legends.But Radamel Falcao...

Good evening my fellow bloggers Apologies for writing a post only now.It has been a busy few months which is about to get even more busy with exams from May 19 to June 10,so I wont be posting anything on my blog I just want to take the time to congratulate Chelsea FC on winning the league on Sunday.It was very spectacular and 5 years of suffering is finally over. Next season will be very interesting.Chelsea will want to conquer Europe next so dont rule them out as favorites for the UCL.Also congrats to Juventus for winning the Scudetto(Serie A) title for the 4th time.That is quite a feat and its a pity that teams can no longer compete with the Old Lady for the title due to the decline of their spending powers. Apologies for only blogging now.It's been a busy few weeks with the internship as well as my research project.Anyway there's a lot of football to look forward to this weekend.There's the EL Clasico on Sunday night between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid,That's going to be a cracker of a match, There's also Liverpool v Man Utd at Anfield.It could decide a lot in the race for 4th place in the EPL and considering recent form,I see a Liverpool win. Good evening Happy New Month to my loyal readers!Lets be thankful as we approach Autumn here and my friends across the sea look forward to Spring Last weekend was the best for me as Chelsea beat Spurs 2-0 to win the Capital One Cup and a first trophy since 2013.As they say "revenge is sweet".2008 was miserable as Chelsea lost 2 cup finals;first to Spurs then to Man Utd in UCL. Anyway I was celebrating like a madman when the final whistle blew and I enjoyed seeing Jose Mourinho celebrate like a 'kid'.Such wonderful scenes.I believe now its the start of the second coming for Chelsea and "The Happy One".I dont see Man City catching up to the Blues and Champions League,the team can go far if they get past PSG next week and get a favorable draw in the quarter-finals. Good evening Apologies for being quiet.Final year of University can be tiring so please bear with me.So far 2015 is panning out to be a good year,just need to sort a few things out then I'll be Ok So last weekend there were a lot of surprises in the world of football.Chelsea drawing 1-1 with Burnley,Barcelona losing 1-0 at home to Malaga,Swansea beating Man Utd 2-1 etc.It was really a strange weekend.Congrats to Ivory Coast for winning AFCON for the first time since 1992.It truly was a dramatic final and we're hoping that its just the beginning of their dominance on African soil and maybe the world in a few years to come. So tomorrow is Champions League night and I'm excited as ever with the line up.Manchester City vs FC Barcelona and Juventus vs Dortmund.Those are 2 exciting games and are too close to call but here are my predictions. Good afternoon goof friends As some of us approach the end of the holidays,there's a lot that we can take from them Anyway it has been a great weekend of football as Chelsea beat Aston Villa 2-1 to open a 7 point gap,Man City drew 1-1 at home with Hull City(didnt see that coming) and Spurs coming from behind to beat Arsenal 2-1.Sadly my team AC Milan lost 3-1 to Juventus but that was expected.AC Milan have been declining for many years and Juve dont have real competition.So I dont see them losing a grip on their Serie A title. Real Madrid were thrashed 4-0 by their city rivals Athletico in the Madrid Derby.Real have been very poor in 2015 and they really need to get key players fit for their upcoming matches which includes El Clasico against FC Barcelona in March.I think they'll win La Liga,not too sure about the Champions League.It'll be a battle till the end And finally,DRC finished 3rd in AFCON after winning 4-2 on penalties versus Equatorial Guinea last night.In...

Morning my friends I hope that we are all well.I'm a lot better.Last weekend was very trying.Someone I knew very well passed away and it was a lot to take in.May your soul rest in peace Yadira. On a positive side,I'll be heading back to uni next week and I'll see most of my friends(others will give themselves an extra week off) and I cant wait to hear what they were up to during the holis.In my case my holiday was less eventful.This year I'll definitely be travelling.Hope to return to Belgium in 2016 so I'm hoping the lecturers at UNAM will go easy on me in terms of grading. Compliments of the season to my fantastic bloggers. Sorry for the delay.I've had a hectic festive period and very soon uni will start again so my holiday is ending pretty soon. So as the 1st month of the new year ends,we should look at it as an opportunity to do better in the coming months So far Chelsea have been up and down this calendar year.Losing to Spurs and Bradford City isnt good but at least they reached the Capital One Cup final and still on top of the table after drawing 1-1 with Man City today. I believe its time to really step up and dominate matches like they have been doing this season.I believe 2015 will be a good year for Chelsea FC.
