Where have you been Roger?

Evening ladies and gentlemen Sorry for the long delay.Had exams, got a new job so I haven't been able to blog, but I'm back and I'll be blogging every Sunday from now on. So Euro 2016 came and went, and it was described as a success with many more teams participating and I have to say the team that shocked me was Wales. They showed that you don't need superstars to win tournaments, but being together stronger orgyda'i gilydd yn gryfach(please excuse my Welsh, its not that great) ,which was of course their mantra throughout qualifying and I can say that the future is bright for Welsh football .As a France fan I'm sad Les Bleus didn't win but they have improved since the debacle of South Africa 2010.I would change a few things about the team though. There is no leadership and for me personally Hugo Lloris isn't exactly one to lead a team of players with big egos due to his quiet personality.I would appoint Mamadou Sakho or Evra(despite what happened in South...

Mother's Day

Evening everyone Sorry for the very late post. With Mothers Day yesterday and exams for the next 3 weeks,I may not post a lot on my blog so please bare with me So after handing Leicester the title last Monday,I felt happy that Spurs didnt win. Unbeaten against them at Stamford Bridge since 1990,its shows how much they've struggled there and also considering the fact that they were very aggressive by getting 9 yellow cards and throwing away a 2 goal lead shows they have a long way to go but mind you they'll be title challengers for years to come. Anyway I was dissapointed with the 3-2 loss at Sunderland and the way John Terry got a red card just sums up our season.I also hope this doesnt mark the end of JT as this would be the worst way to end your career at Chelsea. So I'm appealing to the board to give him a new contract and play him in the big games eg Man Utd,Spurs,Arsenal,Man City etc as he has experience in those kind of matches. The next thing is for Cont...

Exam Season

Evening friends Happy new month and Workers Day! Sorry for the long delay. Had a lot going on since I'm a Masters student.Anyway after Chelsea's crushing defeat to Man City some weeks ago....not surprised by the result. It does sum up our season,I've decided to spare myself the trouble and not watch any more Chelsea games for the rest of the season. Yes its good they beat Bournemouth 4-1 last weekend but tomorrow its Tottenham in a London Derby at Stamford Bridge and I know its going to be a feisty affair and Spurs are keen on keeping the title race alive till the last game. The interesting thing is that the Blues can decide the destiny of the title as the last game is a home game against Leicester City, who never seem to give up. The good news is this is unlikely to happen for many years to come.So next season Chelsea will be competing for the EPL,although rumour has it Courtois might be on his way out but I'm hoping its not true. He's been unlucky to hav...

Disappointment...once again

Evening Friends So for the 2nd time in 2 weeks Chelsea lose in the EPL and this time to Manchester City, last weekend it was Swansea.I think the match summed up the season with one word:Abysmal. Antonio Conte definitely has a lot work to do next season. He'll have to decide who he's keeping and who he'll sell. Its high time John Obi Mikel leaves. He's only had a handful of good matches in the lat decade(UCL Final v Bayern Munich in 2012)but yesterday he was skinned by De Bruyne(An ex Chelsea player) but he's not the only one to blame. The whole team has been in shambles, especially without John Terry, not sure if he'll be there next season.Time to get rid of Mikel,Ivanovic,Remy,Falcao and either spend big on 2-4 players or promote from the youth academy especially on the ageing defence. So I wont watch any more Chelsea games till the season ends.Instead I'll be watching La Liga,Serie A and Bundesliga closely.Hopefully next season will begin the a new era at S...

New era for Chesea

Evening good friends Sorry for the 2 week delay. It seems like when there's an international break,I also take a break...lol.Anyway let me start by saying that I'm happy that Antonio Conte will be at the dugout at Stamford Bridge next season and his tactical flexibility will be very useful. And he'll also bring unity and discipline to the team. Saturday's 4-0 win at Aston Villa was impressive and I think its time to give youth a chance, something previous Chelsea managers have failed to do. Why loan 33 players if you wont use them?I think next season Chelsea will have the advantage in the title race as there will be less competitions to compete in...no UCL or Europa League unless something dramatic happens. Teams like Leicester,Man City,Man Utd,Spurs and Arsenal will be competing for 4 trophies,Chelsea will only compete on 3 fronts but the club will lose money due to not competing in Europe and we're not sure how many of those players will still be at Chelsea n...

Same Chelsea,same problems

Morning good friends Hope you all had a restful weekend! Mine was rather a mixed one for obvious reasons. With Chelsea going out of 2 tournaments in 1 week,it does sum up the season as a whole...disastrous.The manner former Chelsea boy Lukaku scored those 2 goals at Goodison Park was appalling to say the least and with European football looking unlikely next seeason, its going to be difficult to attract big name players like Pogba,Varane,Cavani etc to Stamford Bridge or hold on to the likes of Hazard,Courtois etc. Hopefully who ever is coming in,most probably Italian National Manager Antonio Conte has a lot of issues to solve on and off the field. What on earth was Diego Costa thinking?I still wonder until today.Conte will need to fix an ageing defence,a weak midfield and a toothless strike force.Besides Costa.there isnt anyone that scares defenders, definitely not Remy or Falcao. Mikel needs to go,we need someone who can pass as well as Cesc Fabregas and 2 new centre backs are needed...

Vlogging and so much more

Good evening my loyal readers Hope you had a fantastic weekend.Mine was OK I guess. Chelsea drawing with Stoke was disappointing but then again Chelsea weren't as good themselves.13 games unbeaten in the league is good news so maybe there's hope for top 6.Next up is PSG at The Bridge on Wednesday night and Terry is still out so hopefully Cahill and Ivanovic will play like they're playing for their lives. PSG lost to Lyon last time out and drew with Montpellier but are still miles ahead in the Ligue 1 so they shouldnt be underestimated. If Chelsea score first and park the bus then the last 8 is possible, but anything else and we're out so lets go for the juggernaut on Wednesday night Oh and this Friday I'll start my vlog on YouTube so be on the lookout on Twitter,Facebook etc.I'll be discussing football, pop music, what's trending etc I cant wait to start on this exciting project Thank you for reading my blog and have a good week ahead Feel free to c...

Braai,Germany and football

Good evening friends Sorry for the delay.Had a lot happening over the weekend.Had a braai with friends(Thats BBQ for my non African friends:) and my brother set off for Germany.Viel gluck bruder Anyway lets talk football. What a weekend of results.Leicester still on top,Arsenal slipping away and Chelsea fighting back to continue climbing up the log,Honestly its too late to fight for top 4.If Hiddink came in October 2015,there might have been hope but alas, lets keep on winning like we did on Saturday and rebuild during the Summer(winter on my side) Overall a great performance and now looking forward to Norwich City tomorrow night.A win should send us to the top half of the table for the first time since August 2015. Predictions Norwich 0-3 Chelsea Like I always say on my posts feel free to comment here about your team whether in the EPL or any other league across the world Thank you and I hope you had a good Leap Day.It only happens once every 4 years Good night,Guten Nac...

Welcome back

I'm back Good evening everyone Sorry for the long delay.WiFi had "been down",turns out I accidentally disconnected the phone..whoops sorry but I'm back now and so are my weekly posts on my blog So lets start with the Champions League. As a Chelsea fan,I didnt expect the team to win in Paris looking at how PSG are already 24 points ahead in Ligue 1 so it was going to be tough but a 2-1 defeat isnt so bad.In 3 weeks at Stamford Bridge Chelsea can have a real go at PSG and reach the last 8. Impressive win today against Man City in the FA Cup.Some will say its only because they prioritised UCL and have injuries bla bla.Yes true but you have to admit Guus Hiddink has really turned Chelsea around and he deserves credit.Hopefully he'll stay on next season(which seems unlikely as he's retiring) but Diego Simeone,Allegri or Antonio Conte would do great at Chelsea. So next game is away at Southampton on Saturday and I think its going to be a tough matc...

Crazy Weekend

Evening everyone Apologies for the delay.Had a crazy weekend with so many things going on at the same time. Was quite exhausted by Sunday night(that explains the headache) Anyway it was another exciting weekend of football in the EPL with the match of the weekend being the London Derby between Arsenal and Chelsea. It had everything..controversy,rivalry,aggression etc.I honestly didnt expect Chelsea to get anything from The Emirates.Diego Costa proved to be a thorn in Arsenal's flesh again, getting Mertesacker sent off and scoring the goal to make it 1-0.He clearly isnt loved in North London. So a win,a clean sheet and climbing to 13th place.Looks like top 6 isnt out of reach completely.Oh and also unbeaten under Hiddink. So overall a good weekend ahead. The next game is MK Dons in the FA Cup on Sunday then Watford away next Wednesday followed by Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on February 7.Thats going to be a big game and after the way they played on Saturday,I think it'...

2016 in full swing

Good day everyone Hope you're all good Sorry for the delay. The football was too wonderful so I completely forgot. So I'll be posting every Sunday so as to avoid dissapointing you my loyal readers.Thank you so much Last weekend was insane with so many goals and a lot of controversy, especially at Stamford Bridge. The match had everything,it came to life in the 2nd half & just when we all thought Everton had won,BOOM here comes John Terry with a controversial equaliser. I do agree it was offside, the officials missed it big time. But in the end you make your own luck in football. So still undefeated under Hiddink but dropping too many points and the defense is still shaky.Matic looks out of confidence. Not sure what happened but I'm optimistic that he'll bounce back Anyway next is Arsenal on Sunday and I'm not too confident.I'd be happy to take a draw from North London. A win would be a bonus but Arsenal are confident at home so I say it'll be a 2-1 Ars...

2016

Evening wonderful friends Happy New Year....again and welcome to 2016.I know,I've almost abandoned my blog but yeah, thats what the festive season does to you.I think I gained a bit of weight as well,so one of my goals is to gym more often...wish me luck Anyway now the transfer window is open so a lot of rumours will be circling around about certain players. As Wenger would say "there are no quality players to sign in January" and he's right.Who sells their best players in January? You'd have to be mighty brave to do that Anyway since the sacking of Jose Mourinho last year,Chelsea have looked slightly better under Guus Hiddink.13 points off top 4 is a lot,but its possible.Hopefully he'll be there next season. Good win in the FA Cup.Its probably the only trophy we can compete for this season.EPL is gone,UCL will require a miracle.Hopefully we'll win in the EPL in midweek Anyway thats it on my side, wishing you all a wonderful week ahead Goodnight
