 Good afternoon everyone! I hope you're well and having a good start to the month. Apologies for not posting articles. Its been a busy 3 weeks with me moving to my new studio and not having internet till last week Friday but now I'm back and almost completely settled.  So after suffering 2 consecutive defeats against Man City in the league and away to Juventus in the UCL, Chelsea earned a much needed 3-1 win against Southampton at Stamford Bridge on saturday afternoon in sunny west London. 2 late goals from Werner and Chilwell either side of a Trevoh Chalobah header and a Ward-Prowse penelty gave the Blues the win that sent them top of the table for the international break. TT made some changes after the defeat in Turin with Chilwell, RLC and Werner getting starts and who honestly if you ask me seized their opportunities and will definitely be knocking on the door for more first team opportunities as the season goes on.  Hello everyone! I hope you're well and enjoying the Summer break(if you're still on holiday) or if you've already returned to work or school, I hope the return wasnt too hard on you guys.  Good afternoon everyone I hope you're well and enjoying your Summer break. Apologies for not writing last week. I had just received my first dose of Pfizer on Thursday and had a sore arm until Friday night. From now on I'll be more consistent with my blog. Moving on. After beating Crystal Palace 3-0 on the opening day of the season last week, Chelsea headed to London rivals Arsenal with a point to prove that they'll be contenders for the EPL along with Liverpool, Man City and Man Utd. Romelu Lukaku made his second debut for the Blues and boy did he have a good game with him opening the score after 15 minutes after an assist from Reece James and 20 minutes later the England wing back made it 2-0 which effectively killed the contest. Credit should go to the Belgian international for bullying the Arsenal centre-backs who couldnt handle him. The second half was mostly about maintaining the composure and not slipping up. It has been a busy couple of weeks and I had the cold so I was unwell for almost week. Now that the football season has ended, lets take a chance to look at the season as a whole and focus on each position and the manager or in this case managers as Chelsea finished 4th to qualify for the Champions League in dramatic fashion and won the UCL on Saturday night against Man City.  Good afternoon everyone  I hope you're well and having a good start. So Spring has sprung and shops are opening up again. One can say that life is somewhat becoming "normal" again. As the season reaches its climax and the aftermath of the short-lived European Super League still being felt,  Chelsea had to do it the hard way against a stubborn West Ham United in a feisty London derby on Saturday night. Timo Werner got the all important goal towards the end of the first half and perhaps should have scored more goals but nevertheless its job done and the Blues move up to 4th place in the fight for Champions League qualification,which brings in €60 million. I could decide to write a piece on Chelsea reaching the FA Cup final after winning 1-0 against Manchester City on Saturday evening thus ending the Cityzen's bid for a quadruple but instead I'll focus on the news that has left football fans across Europe and the world in disbelief. As many of you know on Sunday night, an announcement was made that 12 of the biggest clubs came to together to form a new competition that will bring in lots of money (€320 million for each participant) therefore taking the total to €3,5 billion which will be provided by JP Morgan.  Good evening everyone I hope you are well and having a good start to the week. Sorry for the radio silence. It has been a busy couple of weeks, but I'm back now. After winning at Anfield against Liverpool on Thursday night, Chelsea earned a much needed win against Merseyside team Everton on Monday night. The victory puts the Blues in touching distance of Leicester City (3 points) and Manchester United (4 points). So thats 9 games unbeaten in the league for Thomas Tuchel, who has definitely turned things around at Stamford Bridge since his arrival in January.  One  of the positive elements on Monday night was the performance of Kai Havertz. The big money signing from Bayer Leverkusen has flattered to deceive this season but the arrival of the German tactician has definitely improved his performances. Chelsea continue their good form under new coach Thomas Tuchel after winning 2-1 against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane last night. Once again Italian midfielder Jorginho stepped up to take the spot kick after Timo Werner was fouled by goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale in the box. VAR had to intervene but it was as clear as daylight. Despite dominating most of the first half, the Blades made it difficult for the Blues to attack and score. However their resistance was broken just before half-time by Mason Mount with a wonderful finish from outside the box. Good afternoon everyone! I hope you are well and having a good start to the month. So a lot has happened since I last posted. Chelsea won 3-1 in the FA Cup against Luton Town to progress to the next round and the morning after Frank Lampard was sacked as the manager of Chelsea with former PSG and Borussia Dortmund Thomas Tuchel on a 18 month deal. If you want to understand what led to his downfall, here's a link to a video by   The Athletic UK . So Tuchel's first game ended goalless against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Bridge last Wednesday night despite dominating the possession and having the better chances but it was refreshing to see the team make more passes (820)  and have more chances. It was also good to see players like Marcos Alonso and Antonio Rüdiger play after being frozen out by Lampard since last year September. Looks like 3-4-3 worked to a certain extent against the Wolves but what was missing was goals. This shows that the German coach is more flexible ...

Sorry for not writing last week.I know Chelsea beat Morecambe in the FA Cup to go to the 4th round, where they'll face Luton Town at home this coming Sunday and a fifth round tie awaits against either Barnsley or Norwich City in February. Now I could talk about how the Blues dominated the match despite making lots of changes to the team. It was great to see Werner and Havertz on the score sheet as well as Mount. These are players who had not scored in a while so this was a confidence booster for the 2 German signings still finding their feet in English football. Hopefully they can continue to improve in the coming weeks and months with the gaffer's help. Now to focus on Saturday's match at Craven Cottage against The Cottagers, who were in a good form after getting points against the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham, so Chelsea had to be extra careful. Hello everyone! Bonne année! Happy New Year I hope you all had a restful festive season. Sunday saw the Blues take on Man City in an epic match at Stamford Bridge in the EPL. After a disappointing December with the Blues earning only 4 points out of 18, this was the kind of match that was supposed to kick start their campaign, but what was to follow was a calamitous showing from Frank Lampard's men. After more than half an hour played Chelsea were already 3-0 with goals from Gundogan, Foden and De Bruyne. To cut a long story short Chelsea didn't show up on Sunday night. Despite the changes made by the gaffer, Man City ripped apart the non existent midfield of Kanté, Kovacic and Mount. Also the full backs Azpilicueta and Chilwell were nowhere to be seen either.
