New week,new things

Good evening

Apologies for being quiet.Final year of University can be tiring so please bear with me.So far 2015 is panning out to be a good year,just need to sort a few things out then I'll be Ok

So last weekend there were a lot of surprises in the world of football.Chelsea drawing 1-1 with Burnley,Barcelona losing 1-0 at home to Malaga,Swansea beating Man Utd 2-1 etc.It was really a strange weekend.Congrats to Ivory Coast for winning AFCON for the first time since 1992.It truly was a dramatic final and we're hoping that its just the beginning of their dominance on African soil and maybe the world in a few years to come.

So tomorrow is Champions League night and I'm excited as ever with the line up.Manchester City vs FC Barcelona and Juventus vs Dortmund.Those are 2 exciting games and are too close to call but here are my predictions.

Manchester 2-1 FC Barcelona with the Spanish side going through on away goals

Juventus 2-3Dortmund.I think the Germans will be too strong for the Italian Champions

Last week's games were exciting,especially PSG v Chelsea.It had everything,,drama etc and I see Chelsea proceeding to the last 8/Quarter-finals  just like last year.An away goal can change the tie if Chelsea defend well otherwise PSG will have a say

In the EPL,the race for the title,UCL places and survival.After last night,its hard to say how the league table will look come May 24.I think that Chelsea might edge it and win by maybe 2 or so points

The sending off of Matic was unfair and I hope that the red card will be rescinded so that he can play against Spurs on March 1 otherwise it'll be an injustice to Chelsea Football Club.I also believe that Ashley Barnes should have been sent off.For the FA not to punish him sends out a wrong message.FA,please review the performances of referees.Its really appalling.I do feel for Jose Mourinho.Chelsea,Arsenal etc are victims of poor decisions and that needs to stop

 Good evening everyone I hope you are well and having a good start to the week. Sorry for the radio silence. It has been a busy couple of weeks, but I'm back now. After winning at Anfield against Liverpool on Thursday night, Chelsea earned a much needed win against Merseyside team Everton on Monday night. The victory puts the Blues in touching distance of Leicester City (3 points) and Manchester United (4 points). So thats 9 games unbeaten in the league for Thomas Tuchel, who has definitely turned things around at Stamford Bridge since his arrival in January.  One  of the positive elements on Monday night was the performance of Kai Havertz. The big money signing from Bayer Leverkusen has flattered to deceive this season but the arrival of the German tactician has definitely improved his performances. Champions League: What a week of drama

  Copyright fr.uefa.com Good afternoon everyone I hope you are all well and enjoying the last few weeks of the summer holidays,albeit in difficult circumstances. So the UEFA Champions League made its return 2 weeks ago with 2nd leg ties that still  needed to be played like Chelsea v Bayern Munich, Lyon v Juventus and Manchester City v Real Madrid and boy were there surprises with Lyon making it past the Italian Champions despite a 2-1 defeat and of course the end of Maurizio Sarri's tenure as head coach. Bayern Munich and Man City qualifying werent really shocks as the damage was done in the 1st leg, at least for Chelsea but thats not the exciting part.So for the first time ever 2 French teams in the semis and PSG's first semi final appearance since 1995.  Last Wednesday saw PSG come from behind to defeat Atlanta 2-1 with Marquinhos and Choupo-Moting gettting the goals. Chelsea v Southampton: 2 points dropped by the Blues

 Good afternoon everyone  I hope you're well and had a good weekend. So what a dramatic weekend of football we had starting with the Merseyside derby and it continued with Chelsea-Southampton which finished 3-3 after the Saints managed to grab a point at the death thanks to Vestergaard. Once again Chelsea fail to kill off a match and this will cost them dearly come end of the season. Where do I begin? oh yes the defence. With Mendy injured, Kepa was put in the starting XI to prove his worth to the coach and he failed the test. With Thiago Silva being left out with Sevilla to come in midweek it was the duo Zouma-Christiansen and I wasnt convinced one bit. Thankfully Lamaprd will be able to call on him for tomorrow's match and with Man United to come at the weekeend,it'll be interesting to see which team he sends out tomorrow night at the Bridge.Glad that Werner got a double and Havertz scored as well.
