New year,same story

Hi everyone

Season's greetings for 2017...I know. its late.So you're all wondering why I've been quiet for a long time

I was accepted to study journalism at the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium and had been busy nonstop.So apologies for the silence. Honestly speaking the 1st semester was not easy at all as I had arrived just as it had began and I didn't really have time to settle in. The good news is I got to spend Christmas and New Years with my family and for me that was very special.

As second semester looms,hopefully things will be much better now.Still getting used to writing exams in January...sigh and also the environment is very different from what I experienced in Namibia,that's not to discourage you from studying abroad. Its a wonderful opportunity and with Europe,its simple to travel across the 27 EU member states.Hopefully in the summer I can go to Amsterdam,Barcelona or Berlin.

I know at the beginning it wasn't easy as I was away from family and friends...fortunately my brother is in Berlin so it made the transition easier and I'm slowly making new friends in my course and outside.I hope to continue to making new friends throughout my course.Not only there but in my church as well.

With the demands for my course,it hasn't been easy for me to build relationships within the church of Christ in Brussels as I only get to see my brethren once or twice a week if I'm not busy.Hopefully this year I'll build relationships there and the first step is me taking initiative to know people,whether by sharing a meal together or activities,I think I can do more this year.Hopefully I'll be able to strike a balance between school,social life and spiritual life without neglecting one or all of them

Anyway wishing you all the best for 2017 and I'll post on football hopefully at the weekend

 Good evening everyone I hope you are well and having a good start to the week. Sorry for the radio silence. It has been a busy couple of weeks, but I'm back now. After winning at Anfield against Liverpool on Thursday night, Chelsea earned a much needed win against Merseyside team Everton on Monday night. The victory puts the Blues in touching distance of Leicester City (3 points) and Manchester United (4 points). So thats 9 games unbeaten in the league for Thomas Tuchel, who has definitely turned things around at Stamford Bridge since his arrival in January.  One  of the positive elements on Monday night was the performance of Kai Havertz. The big money signing from Bayer Leverkusen has flattered to deceive this season but the arrival of the German tactician has definitely improved his performances. Champions League: What a week of drama

  Copyright fr.uefa.com Good afternoon everyone I hope you are all well and enjoying the last few weeks of the summer holidays,albeit in difficult circumstances. So the UEFA Champions League made its return 2 weeks ago with 2nd leg ties that still  needed to be played like Chelsea v Bayern Munich, Lyon v Juventus and Manchester City v Real Madrid and boy were there surprises with Lyon making it past the Italian Champions despite a 2-1 defeat and of course the end of Maurizio Sarri's tenure as head coach. Bayern Munich and Man City qualifying werent really shocks as the damage was done in the 1st leg, at least for Chelsea but thats not the exciting part.So for the first time ever 2 French teams in the semis and PSG's first semi final appearance since 1995.  Last Wednesday saw PSG come from behind to defeat Atlanta 2-1 with Marquinhos and Choupo-Moting gettting the goals. Chelsea v Southampton: 2 points dropped by the Blues

 Good afternoon everyone  I hope you're well and had a good weekend. So what a dramatic weekend of football we had starting with the Merseyside derby and it continued with Chelsea-Southampton which finished 3-3 after the Saints managed to grab a point at the death thanks to Vestergaard. Once again Chelsea fail to kill off a match and this will cost them dearly come end of the season. Where do I begin? oh yes the defence. With Mendy injured, Kepa was put in the starting XI to prove his worth to the coach and he failed the test. With Thiago Silva being left out with Sevilla to come in midweek it was the duo Zouma-Christiansen and I wasnt convinced one bit. Thankfully Lamaprd will be able to call on him for tomorrow's match and with Man United to come at the weekeend,it'll be interesting to see which team he sends out tomorrow night at the Bridge.Glad that Werner got a double and Havertz scored as well.
